Ed Crasnick is an Emmy award-winning entertainment veteran who has built his impressive career working on both sides of the camera – as a writer, producer, and development executive as well as a performer and radio host. At Sucherman, he leverages his extensive industry knowledge and relationships to support executive search assignments at the highest levels of the business. A constant community builder, he has worked on successful talent placements in TV development, animation, sports, data science, business affairs, marketing, documentary, and feature film.
Prior to joining Sucherman, Ed founded Makelight, Inc., a media company using comedy to address issues of mental health and happiness. Serving as a vice president of development at Fremantle Media, he created and ran The Instant Comedy Project, a production think tank. As vice president of development at Stun Creative, Ed co-created, wrote, and acted in several pilots and digital series such as “The Writer’s Room starring Kevin Pollak” for Sony.
Ed’s writing and producing credits include “Crashing,” “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, “Dancing with the Stars”, “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” and “After Lately with Chelsea Handler.” As a performer, Ed has appeared on shows including the “The Sopranos,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “Hot in Cleveland.” He has hosted radio shows and podcasts, including his own show on KABC in LA and The Mental Health Comedy Podcast, currently on Spotify.
Ed attended Syracuse University where he majored in Child & Family Studies and Visual & Performing Arts.
