As the head of Sucherman’s international practice, Simon Pollock is responsible for delivering the firm’s high-touch, bespoke executive search and advisory services to organizations around the world. A media and entertainment industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Simon advises U.S.-based companies expanding globally while also helping international companies entering the U.S. Through Simon’s international expertise and first-hand knowledge, Sucherman offers the benefits of a boutique advisory firm with the global reach essential to today’s interconnected economy.
Before joining Sucherman in 2018, Simon led his own global consultancy working with C-suite executives to recruit top talent, achieve business goals and drive revenue. Previously, he was the London-based Head of Practice, Media and Entertainment for global search firm Heidrick & Struggles.
Simon spent nine years in senior roles at A&E Television Networks overseeing operations and distribution of 18 channels in EMEA and Asia, leading the launch and expansion of The History Channel throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
As Vice President of Sales for Sony Pictures Television in London, he developed a global barter division, an innovative new revenue source which produced a 300 percent increase in sales over two years, while doubling overall UK revenues in the same period. Before that, Simon managed all barter and sponsorship activities of Disney programming worldwide, increasing Central and Eastern European revenues by 500 percent over two years.
He was an independent Director of OSN, the Middle East’s leading direct-to-home pay TV platform for four years, leading critical searches including for a new CEO and COO. He also served as a non-executive Director of MAI, a leading Denver-based global media audit specialist.
Simon launched his career in Nashville hosting a local radio show while also selling advertising time. Based in London, he was educated at Harrow School and Dordogne College and speaks fluent French and Spanish.
