Joanna Sucherman, based in Los Angeles, is a key member of SCG Search. Ms. Sucherman joined the company in 2004 after spending over a decade as a television producer. Ms. Sucherman is primarily involved in SCG’s marketing and programming searches.
During her tenure at Sucherman Executive Search, Ms. Sucherman has successfully placed the Vice President of Current Programming, ABC Entertainment; the Vice President of Development, Buena Vista Productions; the Senior Vice President, Programming, GSN; the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, Endemol; the Vice President, Development, True Entertainment; and the Vice President, Reality Programming, Animal Planet.
Prior to joining Sucherman Consulting Group, Ms. Sucherman spent over a decade in the television broadcast and cable industry producing on a variety of cable television shows, most notably acting as an Executive Producer on several series at E! Entertainment. Ms. Sucherman also launched and Executive Produced “The High Price of Fame,” which was E!’s investigative series.
As a producer, Ms. Sucherman has also worked on numerous live events during her time with the network, including “The Academy Awards Pre-Show,” “The Golden Globes Pre Show,” and “The Emmy pre-show.” Ms. Sucherman also has extensive experience in the field, having covered everything from celebrity interviews to surgery in the operating room.
Ms. Sucherman is a graduate of Northwestern University where she majored in theatre. She grew up in New York, and currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and their dog.
